Blood Brain Barrier Crossing Strategies

In October 20204, we had the Portuguese workshop on Blood Brain Barrier Crossing Strategies, co-organized with Luís Pereira de Almeida (GeneT, CNC-UC) and Rui Jorge Nobre (ViraVector, UC) at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology of the University of Coimbra (CNC-UC).

This meeting was an opportunity to share research interests and the latest advances in the topic of (drug) delivery systems capable of crossing the blood brain barrier, relevant for the treatment of neurological and neurodegenerative diseases.

We counted with the presence of:

– Sandra Ribeiro, Biomolecular Structure & Function Group, i3S

– Raquel Rodrigues, International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory

– João Nuno Moreira, Tumor Microenvironment and Targeted Therapies, CNC-UC

– Vera Neves, Physical Biochemistry of Drugs & Targets, IMM

– James Dooley, Aila Biotech

– Ana Paula Pêgo, NanoBiomaterials for Targeted Therapies, i3S

– Frederico Aires-da-Silva, Antibody Engineering Lab and Vector B2B, FMV-UL

– Lino Ferreira, Advanced Therapies Group, CNC-UC
