This year, we celebrated the Brain Awareness Weekby inviting neurodiverse young people to understand and embrace their neurodiversity.
We welcomed neurodiverse young people from the Portuguese Association for Developmental Disorders and Autism (APPDA-Norte) for a guided tour at the i3S.
Our young guests saw the marvels of the brain and the nervous system through the lens of a microscope and learned about different model organisms used in research.
The event was spearheaded by the Neural Cell Biology ERA Chair and counted with volunteers from the Genetics of Cognitive Dysfunction Group, Cell Division and Genomic Instability Group and the Synapse Biology Group.
